Cecil County is located along the upper banks of the Chesapeake Bay, in the northeast corner of Maryland. The county attracts many visitors each year to Chesapeake City, where they can enjoy cruises of the Chesapeake Bay, explore the C & D Canal Museum, and shop for antiques on the Bohemia Avenue. The most populated city in the county, Elkton, has an active business community that has developed seamlessly alongside the colonial architecture that adds charm to the town.
Despite being located within Maryland state lines, Cecil County is actually designated as a part of the Philadelphia – Camden – Wilmington metropolitan Area. Its 101,108 residents enjoy a primarily rural landscape that provides easy access to I-95, is a short drive away from Delaware, and is right in between Baltimore and Philadelphia.
