COLUMBIA, Md.—Carla Northrop, vice president and CEO of The Creig Northrop Team of Long & Foster Real Estate, received SmartCEO Magazine’s “2014 Brava! Award.” The award recognizes women CEOs who demonstrate entrepreneurship and community involvement.

SmartCEO Magazine commissions an independent committee of 10 local business leaders who select 30 “Brava! Award” recipients each year. According to SmartCEO, recipients encourage local philanthropy, mentor colleagues; and help their companies grow. Recipients will be recognized at an awards reception in July. 

Northrop has helped to grow The Creig Northrop Team with her husband for the last 14 years. In that time, the team has expanded from serving Howard County to the greater Baltimore-Washington corridor with five offices across Maryland.
