The Creig Northrop Team of Long & Foster Real Estate moved its Howard County headquarters into a 9,000-square-foot space in Clarksville Commons, a new mixed-use development along Clarksville’s retail corridor on Route 108 and celebrated with a grand-opening event Sept. 27 with an evening of wine, hors d’oeuvres and music.

The new office was officially opened with a ribbon-cutting performed by the Howard County Chamber of Commerce. The team’s new offices, at 12230 Clarksville Pike, Suite A, opened for business Sept. 22.

The Northrop Team’s offices follow a minimalist, open-concept design framed in stainless steel and glass and lit with modern, geometric light fixtures. Colors include shades of grey, yellow and white in both solids and textures with red accents throughout the offices, reflecting the Northrop Team’s logo.

Northrop Team Vice President and CEO Carla Northrop and Chief Operating Officer Maya Nadeem designed the offices with interior designer Lena Munther of Munther Design and architect Grace Pak of Alexander Design Studio.

The new space addresses more than aesthetics and provides features such as motorized standing desks for Northrop Team associates. Outside the offices, Clarksville Commons uses renewable energy in the form of rooftop solar panels as well as storm water management using cisterns to capture rainwater, porous surfaces to limit runoff and native plant rain gardens. The center also features a large living wall.
